You're a "Lone Wolf." Here's Why It's Killing Your Growth.
One of the best parts of being a solopreneur is the freedom. You don't have a boss. You don't have a sales manager. You don't have a team watching you.
That freedom is also your biggest trap.
When you're a "lone wolf," you are accountable to no one. When you have a great week, you celebrate. When you have a bad week, you... what? Feel bad? Quietly "move on"?
You hide from the numbers. You tell yourself, "It's fine, I'll make it up next month."
This is the "solopreneur's shadow." You have no real scoreboard, so you can't really lose. And if you can't lose, you also can't truly win. You're just... existing.
You Can't Scale in the Dark
This "lone wolf" mentality isn't just about you. It makes it impossible to grow.
How can you ever hire a part-time salesperson or a VA if you have no clear, objective standard for success? How can you show them what "good" looks like if you've been running your own sales on "feelings"?
You can't. You're stuck.
To build a real, scalable business, you must step out of the shadows and embrace radical accountability. You need a system that is transparent, fair, and built for performance—even if you're the only "performer" on the team right now.
The "Glass House" System
This is the final, and most important, component of my KYSS (Keep Your Sales Simple) philosophy. You must build a "Glass House."
You need a system of radical transparency, one that separates "motivation" from "performance." It's not about "public shaming" (even to yourself). It's about data.
This is the only way you can build a team. It's the only way you can stay honest with yourself.
In my 15-minute e-book, KYSS: Keep Your Sales Simple, I give you the complete framework for building this high-performance culture:
I'll give you the "Glass House" Philosophy: How to make your "Big 5" metrics public in a way that motivates (and why this is essential before you hire anyone).
I'll give you the crucial "Cost of Sale" (COS) metric: the private, surgical number I use to manage performance without emotion (and how you can use it to see if you're really profitable).
You'll get my framework for "Balancing 'Me' vs. 'We'": A simple way to build in team incentives that reward everyone for success, preventing a "lone wolf" culture from ever taking root.
This blog post is the "why." The e-book gives you the "how."
Build Your Full System
This "Glass House" philosophy is the final component of my 6-part "KYSS" framework.
You now have all 6 pieces. I've compiled the entire "no-BS" framework into a 15-minute manual. It's the full, actionable playbook designed to help you build a complete sales machine.

Need More Than a Manual? Get Your Team.
The KYSS e-book is the "what"—the complete, actionable manual.
But what happens when you have a question about your specific business? Who reviews your sales call? Who helps you apply the system?
That's why I built the Selling Pens Community. It's the sales team for the team-of-one.
It's a private, professional workshop where you can get real feedback and stop guessing.
